Fireworks in Kansai

16th Otsu Shiga Fireworks Festival (Otsu Shiga Hanabi)
Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture

This fire festival takes place 200 meters away from the ocean and about 2,000 fireworks will be launched from a boat. Around 30,000 people enjoy the fireworks from a close-up view and the firework's reflection in the water.

Ayabe Minazuki Fireworks Festival (Ayabe Minazuki Hanabi)
 Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture

At the Ayabe Minazuki Hanabi festival, you can not only enjoy the beautiful fireworks but also the Japanese traditional dance performances. The dance has been performed for 350 years and it is called the "Ayabe Yosakoi".
