Art Triangle Roppongi

VISIT the Roppongi area of central Tokyo, and you can check out striking new museums in what is known as the Art Triangle Roppongi: The National Art Center, Tokyo; the Mori Art Museum and the Suntory Museum of Art (inside Tokyo Midtown). Discounts are offered for visiting all three. The
wave-shaped glass façade of the National Art Center, designed by internationally renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa, is extremely impressive, and the restaurant, cafés and museum shop compliment the center’s special exhibitions and educational programs.

Nearby in Tokyo Midtown is the Suntory Museum of Art with its traditional Japanese tearoom. Its “Art in Life” collection boasts 3,000 articles closely connected to Japanese life. The Mori Art Museum on the 53rd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower skyscraper is a museum that reflects the urban flavor of Tokyo through contemporary art exhibitions. As it is open until 10 p.m. (except Tuesdays), be sure to enjoy the night view of Tokyo! tj
